Withdrawal from University

Withdrawal is the formal and official process that a student must use to notify the university that they no longer wish to continue their studies at Tusculum University. To complete a University Withdrawal, a Traditional Studies student should apply directly to the Director of Academic Advising for the proper withdrawal procedure. An Adult and Online Studies student who wishes to withdraw from the University should notify their Academic Advisor.

Official withdrawal is effective upon the University’s receipt of the completed electronic withdrawal form. A grade of “W” will be posted for the student who properly withdraws before a course’s deadline to withdraw. In the event that a student submits documentation to withdraw from university after the course’s deadline to withdraw, the grade earned up to the date of submission will be posted instead of a grade of “W”. Should a student drop out of classes without official withdrawal, they will earn a grade of “F” in each course.

Unless the withdrawal is initiated before classes begin or during the official University refund period, the student will be responsible for all charges for the semester. For reporting purposes, the last day of the academic activity will be determined by the University.
