SOCI 210 - Sociology of Health, Illness, and Social Disparities

This course will explore a range of sociological principles and approaches, examining the Human Life Cycle. The structure of healthcare systems and human population health in the US and around the world will be discussed, as well as patient interaction with health professionals, society’s influence on health and illness, and social disparities between distribution of medical and quality care.
