CISC 520 - Design and Analysis of Algorithms Credit(s): 3 This course facilitates an advanced exploration into the formal synthesis and rigorous analysis of computational procedures. Moving beyond basic implementation, the curriculum focuses on the mathematical foundations required to prove optimality and evaluate the upper, lower, and average-bound behavior of complex systems. Students will investigate the structural properties of problems that lend themselves to specific design paradigms.
