SOCI 101 - Introduction To Sociology Credit(s): 3 This course introduces students to the sociological imagination, an approach that situates peoples’ lives in broader social contexts. Students will also examine major sociological theories and research methods. Through the sociological lens, students will examine basic concepts within the field of sociology, such as culture, deviance, socialization, social interaction, social class, race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, and various social institutions, such as: family, education, and sport.
