EVSC 310 - Conservation Biology Credit(s): 2 This course will introduce students to the interdisciplinary field of conservation biology. Students will explore the history of this relatively new field of science, the importance of biodiversity, major threats to biodiversity, and the theory and methods conservation biologists use to conserve Earth’s biodiversity. The laboratory component will allow students to gain practical experience with the design and analysis of conservation studies and planning. This is a field intensive course.
Prerequisites: EVSC 111 and BIOL 120 or permission of the instructor. Course Level: Undergraduate Crosslistings: BIOL 310
