EDUC 433 - Methods For Teaching History In The Secondary Classroom Credit(s): 3 This course will introduce candidates to effective methods for teaching secondary History. Candidates will explore content-specific applications of Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTI²) and Tennessee’s Literacy Standards. Candidates will review state and national Social Studies standards and explore cross-curricular methods and activities. Candidates will demonstrate the ability to plan, implement, and assess secondary Social Studies practices and History content through the use of current technology, materials, and community resources. This course will be delivered in a hybrid format, with face-to-face meetings once per week and the remaining content delivered online.
Prerequisites: Admission to Teacher Education. Course Level: Undergraduate
