EDUC 537 - Methods For Teaching Mathematics In The Elementary Classroom Credit(s): 3 The purpose of this course is to explore current methods and research regarding the teaching of elementary school mathematics with a focus on effective instructional strategies to integrate mathematical content and processes. Candidates will review elementary mathematics content and explore teaching theories that will aid in the development of mathematical literacy in elementary school children.
Prerequisites: College Algebra and EDUC 500 . Course Level: Graduate
