ENGL 328 - Concepts Of Language Credit(s): 3 Examines aspects of language including its origin as a symbolic activity and the development of English from Anglo-Saxon, to Middle, and then Modern English. Linguistics will be explored as the sound systems, forms, structures, and lexicon that serves as a basis of the study of language as a symbolic and social practice.
Prerequisites: ENGL 111 and on-200-level literature or humanities class. Course Level: Undergraduate
