PSYC 318 - Behavioral Pharmacology Credit(s): 3 This introduction to psychoactive drugs and their effects includes an over view of general mechanisms of drug action as well as a survey of the basic physiological, pharmacological and behavioral effects of drugs. The course provides students an understanding of the short-term and long-term drug effects on behavior with a close examination of the etiology and treatment of drug addiction and withdrawal.
