ARTS 400 - Portfolio And Exhibition Credit(s): 4 All Art & Design Studio majors must organize and present an exhibition of their artwork in their last semester at Tusculum. This course is designed to teach students to prepare a coherent and professional solo exhibition scheduled for the Allison Gallery at the end of each semester. In addition, the course is designed to teach students to present their professional credentials for art-related employment or graduate school application, to prepare an artist’s statement about their work and to photograph their work.
Prerequisites: Student must be a senior studio art major in the last year of class-work. All Studio Concentration course work, internships and required General Education courses must be completed by the end of the semester in which the student exhibits. Students will receive a grade of In Progress (IP) for up to one year, until completion of their exhibition. Students will prepare a cover letter and a résumé or curriculum vitae for review by the instructor. Course Level: Undergraduate
