BIOL 422 - Psychoneuroimmunology Credit(s): 3 This upper-level psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) course explores some of the multiple interactions among the nervous, immune, and endocrine systems, and the consequences of these interactions for health and behavior, using both the human and animal literatures. This course will also study how the systems function together to serve homeostasis, behavior, and disease. Emphasis will be placed on the role that stress has regarding disease, neuroendocrine, and immune function.
Prerequisites: Junior standing and PSYC 345
