The program develops students as Mathematical thinkers, enabling them to become lifelong learners, to continue to grow in their chosen professions, and to function as productive citizens.

The Mathematics major is designed for students who wish to pursue graduate study in the Mathematical Sciences, find Mathematics-related employment in business or industry, teach Mathematics at the secondary level, or acquire Mathematical tools for use in the physical, social, or life sciences.
