NURS 457 - Community And Global Health Nursing For RN To MSN Lab Credit(s): 1 This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and concepts of the outcomes of public health and healthcare systems. Students will apply the frameworks and tools necessary to engage in evidence-based practice focused on population health. Concepts of health promotion, disease prevention and risk reduction will be used along with a variety of frameworks that focus on both epidemiological and ecological models of health. Further, students will be engage in community-based service learning project.
Prerequisites: Admission to the RN-MSN program. Corequisites: NURS 456 Course Level: Undergraduate Hours: 45 lab/clinical hours Pass/Fail: This course is offered on a Pass/Fail basis. Crosslistings: NURS 422
