ARTS 354 - Service-Learning In The Arts Credit(s): 3 This class provides an opportunity for art majors and others to examine the role of the arts in social change. Students will participate in a public art project. Classroom time will be spent in the following ways: discussion of assigned readings, group and individual presentations, community service and studio work. Media to be employed include, but are not limited to murals, video, installation and sculpture.
Prerequisites: Majors within the Fine Arts Department may take this course if they are at least a junior. Note(s): As a studio class, this course may require additional meeting times. Lab fee required. Course Level: Undergraduate
