ENGL 228 - Minority Voices In American Literature Credit(s): 3 This course focuses on American minority literature. Students will read a variety of genres by authors of African-American, Asian-American, Jewish-American, Native-American, and Latina/Latino backgrounds, working to analyze how these authors approach cultural identity and ethnicity. Students will also examine how these authors have influenced and been influenced by American culture, history and literary traditions.
Prerequisites: ENGL 110 Course Level: Undergraduate
