EDUC 419 - Content Area Reading K-12 Credit(s): 3 With an emphasis on teaching vocabulary and comprehension skills and strategies necessary for grades K-12 students to “read to learn,” this course is designed to provide candidates opportunities to develop a working knowledge of the instructional methods, strategies, materials and the evaluation tools for integrating reading instruction in content areas in grades K-12.
Prerequisites: Admission to the Teacher Education Program. Course Level: Undergraduate
