SOCI 252 - Race and Ethnic Relations Credit(s): 3 This course will introduce the student to basic concepts, theories, and research relevant to race and ethnic relations in the United States. This course will seek to help students address the following question: Why are there different outcomes in politics, education, work, income, housing, wealth, health, and the criminal justice system for different racial and ethnic groups? As we look at the experiences of different racial and ethnic groups, we will also explore how these relationships have emerged, stabilized, and transformed throughout history.
