NURS 411 - Adult Health Nursing III Credit(s): 4 This course is designed to provide students with a basic understanding of health care problems in the adult population. Students will learn the assessment and management of patient problems related to the gastrointestinal system, urinary system, endocrine and reproductive systems, neurologic and musculoskeletal systems, bioterrorism and disaster nursing. Concepts related to patient teaching, evidence-based practice, quality and safety and patient-centered care are interwoven throughout the content. The course emphasizes the development of nursing skills and the application of the nursing process.
Prerequisites: NURS 331 , NURS 341 , NURS 351 and NURS 362 with a grade of “C” or better. Corequisites: NURS 401 , NURS 402 and NURS 421 Course Level: Undergraduate
